Explore These Pocono Bike Trails
Traveling with a bulky bicycle can be a challenge, and renting a bike can get pricey quickly. Luckily, guests of Ledges Hotel won’t have to worry about that! We have bikes available for sign-out for our guests. Our sister property, The Settlers Inn, also has a selection available. Our bikes are perfect for riding around town or on local paths, however your mountain bike from home would be better for the more rustic trails.
The Trails at the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area
Head to the Delaware Water Gap for over 70,000 acres of fun! There are over 30 miles of trails on the site, including the popular McDade Recreational Trail. This path extends most of the length of the park, around 31 miles. The ground consists of packed dirt and gravel, best for hybrid or mountain bikes. With trailheads and facilities scattered along the path, though, it’s easy to bike out a couple of miles, enjoy a picnic or a drink of water, and then head back to your vehicle. Old Mine Road is another option for a fun bike ride. This road is home to one of the most beautiful scenic drives around.
Lackawaxen River Ride
If you’re looking for something a little closer to Ledges Hotel, consider the Lackawaxen River Ride! This route is suggested by our sister property, The Settlers Inn. The River Ride features some great fishing spots and eagle observation areas. This route is perfect for any visitor, whether you just want a quick 5-minute spin or if you’d prefer to bike the whole path.
Wayne County Scenic Ride
For an easy ride, pedal down the Wayne County Scenic Ride! As with the Lackawaxen River Ride, The Settlers Inn has provided fantastic, detailed instructions on how to find the path. In total, this loop is 15 miles along a rural road that parallels a babbling brook. If you’re looking for something a bit more challenging, there are some steep hills along the path.
