Attend Hawley Winterfest
Hawley Winterfest began in 1999 as a way for visitors and locals to get in the holiday spirit and support local businesses. This year, it will run from Friday, December 8 to Sunday, December 10. Check out some of the events planned for this year’s festival!
Chocolate and Coffee Tasting
There’s no better way to warm up! Join the experts from Moka Origins for an insightful and delectable Chocolate and Coffee Tasting session on Friday at Cocoon Coffeehouse and Bakery from 1-3 p.m. Moka Origins is known for its award-winning, sustainably sourced cacao and coffee creations.
The Annual Cookie Walk
Visit the First Presbyterian Church for over 25 varieties of gourmet, homemade cookies at the Annual Cookie Walk. Snag some to take with you for just $10 a pound!
Holiday History Tour
Step inside four venues, which are usually closed to the public or open on a limited basis. Enjoy the architecture and history of each property, festively decorated for the season. Tickets are available all weekend long at the Downtown Hawley Partnership Office on Church Street.
Breakfast with Santa
The Waterfront at Silver Birches welcomes a special visitor from the North Pole. Enjoy breakfast with the Jolly Old Elf himself on Saturday, December 9. Call for reservations.
Lyric Consort
On December 8 at 7:30 p.m., visit the Hawley United Methodist Church for a wonderful concert by the Lyric Consort. This special Christmas concert will feature Northeastern Pennsylvania’s premier performing group. Tickets are available online.
Horse and Carriage Rides
Nothing says winter like a horse and carriage ride! From noon to 4 p.m. on December 9 and 10, you’ll be able to enjoy a nostalgic ride. Head to Miss Elly’s Antiques & Such to climb aboard!
Author Signing
Visit the Hawley Public Library on December 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to get a book signed by local authors. Check out the event’s page on Facebook for a full list of the participating authors.
Winterfest Artisans’ Fair
Browse through goods from local vendors at the Holiday Artisans’ Fair. This two-day event will take place at The Hawley Silk Mill, from December 9 to 10. It’s a great opportunity to pick up a gift for a loved one or find that perfect souvenir for your home!
Holiday Open House
Get a great deal on all merchandise at the shop in the garden at The Settlers Inn. You’ll also be able to enjoy complimentary cheese and mulled wine while you browse. The Potting Shed Sale begins at 10 a.m. on December 9.
Winterfest Rockin’ Christmas with John Curtin
