Pocono Garlic Festival
Aug. 31-Sept. 1
Shawnee Mountain Ski Area, Shawnee-on-Delaware
Fun is in the air for this celebration of all things garlic! Food and craft vendors offer everything from garlic vinegar and garlic ice cream to garlic-themed pottery and paintings. There’s also live entertainment, educational demonstrations, children’s activities and a garlic eating contest.

21st Annual Harvest Festival with Rosehaven Alpaca Festival
Sept. 1
Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, Bethel, NY
Rosehaven Alpacas is featured among the 100 vendors spread over the scenic grounds. In addition to alpaca clothing and accessories visitors can interact with the alpacas. Other participants include craft and artisan goods, specialty food a farmer’s market, children’s activities and live entertainment.

Night Lights
Sept. 7
Pocono Raceway, Long Pond
Watch hundreds of illuminated lanterns fill the sky over the Pocono Mountains. Each participant can decorate a biodegradable lantern with personal messages of hope, celebration or memories prior to the launch at dusk. Live entertainment enhances the family-friendly event.

21st Annual Harvest Festival with Abandoned Hard Cider
Sept. 8
Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, Bethel, NY
The nearby cidery makes its debut at Harvest Festival offering its finest cider varieties along with delightfully paired light fare. Abandoned Hard Cider is just one of the 100 vendors offering artisan goods, specialty food a farmer’s market, children’s activities and live entertainment.

Hawley to White Mills, PA
Tour the Delaware Highlands by rail and river! Board the Stourbridge Line at the Hawley Station for a scenic ride to White Mills, PA. Then kayak on the Lackawaxen River with a local guide. Enjoy drinks or dinner at The Settlers Inn when you return to Hawley.

Over 25 food trucks from the Pocono Mountains, Lehigh Valley, New Jersey and Philadelphia vie for #1. Festival goers sample the specialties that range from sweet and savory to hot and spicy then vote for their favorite. Inside the lodge, more than 65 artists and artisans will showcase and sell their work.
