Every year there is one week-long event that everyone gets excited for and for the 152nd year, the fair is coming to the Wayne County fairgrounds August 1-9. The annual fair attracts people from all over PA to enjoy the amazing food, thrilling rides and the family friendly shows. As with any fair there are a host of rides for kids and adults alike and 4-H animal shows. The top billed performer at the Wayne County fairgrounds is country music star Craig Campbell whose songs include, “Keep them Kisses Comin’” and “Outta my Head”. Along with Craig, special guest Eric Paslay will perform some of his hit songs like “Friday Night” and “Song About a Girl”. The concert is on August 4th and tickets start at $20 for grandstand seats and $25 for reserved track seats. These tickets do not include entrance into the fair and make sure you grab them early because it can take from 2-4 weeks for delivery.
For the car enthusiast, there is a thrilling demolition derby to hit the Wayne County fairgrounds on August 1st. This free event features 70 cars all vying to beat out everyone else to win the grand prize. This is a popular event so make sure you come early to get the best seat.
For the lumberjack at heart, be sure you check out the woodsmen competition on August 2nd. This free event showcases competitors from New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. They all love to display their amazing skills in a series of 12 events.
No fair is complete without a monster truck show. On August 9th, Stinger, Toxic, Backdraft, and Instigator come to the Wayne County fairgrounds to compete and show off their loud engines so don’t forget your ear plugs. There will also be a Tuff Trucks competition and BMX Quad racing. Tickets are $12 for adults and 12 and under are $8. These tickets do not include admission to the fair and make sure you buy them early to allow for 2-4 weeks for delivery.
