Have a Day of Fun at Skytop Lodge Adventure Center
The Skytop Lodge Adventure Center is just 35 minutes from Ledges Hotel. The site has 5,500 acres of beautiful land and over two dozen on-site activities, many of which are seasonal. During the winter, when snow blankets the ground and the lakes freeze over, skiing (alpine and cross-country), ice fishing, and ice skating are popular. If you’re visiting during the warm summer months, be sure to visit the Skytop Lake beach for a refreshing swim. If you’re not quite sure when you’ll visit, there are some great year-round activities that are sure to thrill!
Rock Climbing
Whether you’re an expert climber or you’ve always wanted to try, the rock climbing wall at Skytop Lodge Adventure Center is the perfect afternoon activity. The 33-foot climbing wall has six different sides with varying levels of difficulty. For just $15 per person, you’ll be able to climb for one hour. The helpful Center staff is there to belay for the climbers as well as provide instruction as needed.
Paintball
Battle it out with friends and strangers on the Skytop Lodge paintball fields. Each paintball session lasts for up to three hours and takes place on three different playing fields. The first is a forest-like setting. Players can use trees, branches, and logs to hide behind during the session. The second is a junkyard, with plastic barrels, pallets, and rocks scattered across the field. The third is a Western-style field, with three sets of buildings that are perfect for a classic Old West showdown. Reservations are just $60 per person. This includes gun rental, mask rental, chest protector rental, pod pack rental, 500 paintballs, and referee fees.
Treetop Adventure Course
The most famous and most popular activity at the Center is the Treetop Adventure Course. With 3,000 feet of obstacles, this course is sure to be the highlight of your trip. Walk across rope ladders, cross elevated bridgeways, and glide across a total of 16 ziplines during your day at the course. There are three different packages available for this course. The first is the full course, which takes about four hours to complete and costs $50 per person. The second is the half-course and costs $40 per person. The last package just lets you ride the zip lines and costs $30 per person.
