The Best Things to do in the Poconos in the Fall
Go Leaf Peeping
Viewing the fall foliage is a cherished tradition in the Pocono Mountains. There are countless ways to experience the oranges, reds, and yellows of the changing trees. Many guests choose to enjoy the sites while hiking or taking a bike ride through some of the local parks. Promised Land State Park, Bushkill Falls, and the Delaware Water Gap are excellent sites for some beautiful views.
Another great option for leaf peeping is cruising along PA Route 6. This road was ranked among the Top Scenic Routes in America by Car and Driver Magazine and as one of Pennsylvania’s Best Tour Roads by Harley-Davidson Company. Simply take Route 6 into the nearby town of Milford, PA. From there, head onto Route 209 to the Delaware Water Gap.
For the ultimate sightseeing experience, book a tour with Moyer Aviation! This air tour of the Poconos allows visitors to get an eagle’s eye view of the mountains and lakes that are so iconic of this region. Consider taking the Lake Wallenpaupack Tour or the Combination Tour, which takes you past the lake as well as the Delaware Water Gap or Lake Harmony. Either way, you won’t regret booking this Poconos excursion!
