Dorflinger Glass Museum
It may surprise visitors to learn that our region in Pennsylvania was known for producing the most exquisite glass pieces in the nation. Thanks to the talent of Christian Dorflinger, an iconic glass manufacturer, nearby White Mills went from a quiet settlement to a busy industrial town. The factory produced pieces that were purchased by presidents and other important figures. Today, visitors can see some of these amazing works at the Dorflinger Glass Museum, which houses the largest collection of Dorflinger glass in the country.
The Dorflinger Glass Museum is open from Wednesday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. during their summer season, which lasts from early May to late October. It’s just a 12-minute drive from Ledges Hotel.
Zane Grey Museum
Visit the former home of author Zane Grey during your next stay! While Zane Grey is most well known for his novels, this fascinating figure was also once a trained dentist and a semi-professional baseball player. He finally found his calling when he began writing in his Norwich home, which has since been renovated and opened as a museum to his legacy. Visitors can see Grey memorabilia, including photographs and books, as well as purchase their own copies of his works.
The Zane Grey Museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during its summer season, which runs from late-May until the end of October. It’s about a 30-minute drive from Ledges Hotel.

Scranton’s history of coal mining is on display at the Pennsylvania Anthracite Heritage Museum and Iron Furnace. There are two guided tours available at the site. The first will take you through the museum itself, and the second takes you through the former coal mine. History buffs or guests interested in learning more about the history of this region should definitely add this to their to-do list.
This attraction is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sundays from noon until 5:00 p.m. It’s about an hour from Ledges Hotel.
Houdini Museum
Learn about the magical icon himself at the Houdini Museum! You’ll start your journey with a short film, followed by a guided tour, and finally a magic show! From the basics of Harry Houdini’s life to his legacy in magic, this attraction covers it all!

The Museum at Bethel Woods
The site of the historic Woodstock Festival was transformed into the Bethel Center of the Arts, complete with a theater, educational opportunities, and a great museum. The Museum at Bethel Woods celebrates the 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Fair, as well as how the events in America during the 1960s led to the iconic concert.
The Museum at Bethel Woods is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It’s about a 50-minute drive from Ledges Hotel.
