The Carbondale Historical Society and Museum is open Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays by appointment.

Carbondale is located along the famous Lackawanna River Heritage Trail, a 70-mile multi-purpose trail system that follows the Lackawanna River.
